(romania, earth) - things i made, all of them real

i build thingsfor the internet.

apps, tools, and weird little services that real people actually use. everything below ships, works, and mostly runs on cloudflare's free tier - because i'm cheap like that.

lfn - the play suite

i built a linux system from scratch. the linux kernel is the only thing i didn't write. i made a desktop environment, a login manager, apps for the de, and the play suite - a shell, an init system, and a fetch. it was compiled in 30h+ on a ps4 and the whole thing runs in 31mb of ram.

(2024 - 2026)
01

pigeonsms

a whole chat platform

dms, nests, calls, bots, the works. android app, web client, windows shell, and a backend that lives entirely on cloudflare. self-hostable, gpl'd, no ads, no tracking.

02

getswift

drop a file, get the link

file sharing without the nonsense. no accounts, no waiting rooms, no five ads before your download. 5 gb free, link in hand instantly.

next.jsworkersr2
03

temp.getswift

files that self-destruct

the disposable sibling of getswift. drop something up to 50 mb, share the link, and it's gone within 7 days whether you remember it or not.

swiftbin

paste a snippet, get the link

pastebin built for people who live in the terminal. burn-after-read, optional passwords, syntax highlighting, auto-delete on a schedule.

nextfin

a jellyfin client

because i wanted my media server to feel like a real product. built on next.js, made for my own couch, shared because someone else probably wants it too.

about me

hey, i'm cg. i write code in romania, mostly at night, mostly because an idea showed up and refused to leave. pigeonsms started as "i bet i can build a messenger in a weekend" - it was not a weekend, but it works, and people use it.

i like shipping real things: chat platforms, file hosts, pastebins, media clients. if it can run on cloudflare so i never have to ssh into a box at 3am, even better. the getswift family (main, temp, bin) all grew out of me being annoyed at existing tools and deciding mine would be simpler.

everything i make ends up on github. if something's broken, open an issue - i'll probably fix it.
